Piano Answers

(I’m 16 now…almost 17)
well I was okay at piano. I never liked it very much because my parents made me play it & I didnt appreciate it at all when I was little so I goofed around.
Last year, my teacher finally made me see how much I really loved piano & I wanted to be better. So last summer, I came to be the best that I had ever been.
This summer, I moved & my parents got divorced so I stopped taking lessons. I still have piano/sheet music but I feel myself getting worse & worse… also I had a 3-month lapse because my piano got lost in the shipment
So how can I at least mantain my piano skills? I don’t want to lose them…

I’m singing it at my talent show & I want to learn how to play it on the piano. It would be so much easier if I just printed it free off the internet, so can you please tell me links & websites with free sheet music? I’ve gone through a lot of them, & they’re confusing, or cost money (oh no!), or just lead to google ads. Please help me!

I was playing the piano for 9 years. I love it & I don’t want to stop, I just also really want to play guitar. So that’s my question. Is it a good idea to combine these 2 things ? Is it gonna be harder or easier ? And next question: Should I start with acoustic when I want to play electric in the future or should I buy electric from the start ?

CAN I STILL SAVE MY GIGANTIC DORMANT PIECE OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENT????

As I said in the question, I’ve been playing piano for just under 4 years (mostly classical pieces) & I’m just curious for what label the average person would put on me, ex-beginner, intermediate, advanced, & so on. I know it always depends on the individual person to really attach a true level of skill but if you know about these things from experience & observation & could simply take a guess considering how long I’ve been playing then that’s great!

I really like the song, but I don’t know if it will be too easy or too hard.

I would really love to play the piano. But worried about my age, also getting a teacher to help me. Is 20 years of age too old, I also have a piano at home, which is a plus.

I’v been playing for 10 years & I cant decide on a favorite song. I love Beethoven’s sonatas & Rachmaninov’s Moments Musicaux & Chopin & Liszt’s Etudes.

How many years is necessary to attain the technical skill to play moonlight sonata? How long will it take to play the 3rd mvt?

I have been playing the piano for about four years, & I would like to know what level I am supposed to be at. I have seen five year olds that can play “Alla Turca”( which blew me away),and seven year olds that are already early intermediate.

I have recently acquired an old Knight piano about 25 years old. I am actually looking for someone to retore it for me. The bottom edges of both legs are infested with termites. Other than that, the piano is in good shape. Do you know who does such repair job ? The rest of the inetrnal parts are in good condition .

And that he/she started at 14 & above? How well do you play. And did you have music lessons everyday or in a week? How many hours do you play? What was your routine on playing piano?

I’ve been playing piano for seven years, & I have to say, I’m pretty darn good. Will it be easier to play guitar now than If I had started playing guitar with no musical experience whatsoever? I also heard that people that play piano can’t play the guitar well.
