I am trying to play Vanilla Twilight on the piano & it has that alot please help thanks! If you have an easier version of the song like for a beginner then please put that too.

Since the notes on the piano only repeat themselves how do you know which notes the sheet music wants you to play on?

On the Episode Wasted Talent, he comes home drunk & plays the piano for Lois untill he sobbers up & he cant play the song anymore, What was the name of that song he plays?

I know this must be usual for piano beginner’s but, my hands grow increasingly tired if i play notes fast (like going up & down scales a lot) specially my left hand, are there any exercises focused on “strengthening” (or whatever may it be) hands or should I just focus on normal practices until I get used to it?

I think I remember differently to people coz i had a crazy piano teacher that always sneezed in my face…

I found an upright piano for sale & it looks great. The only problem being that I never had a piano. I have been playing on a keyboard for 4 years now & I want to buy a piano.
What do I look for when I test the piano?
I found one called Lauberger & Gloss. Does anybody know anything about this make?

Are they called chords? Are they just played with the left hand? Or something else? I always watch covers in youtube where they sing while playing the piano. What do you call when you sing while the piano acts as background? And where do people find the sheets? Or do they make it up themselves?

I played the piano from 7 until 12, & my wpm is very good(I’m 14), & I’ve never taken typing lessons. Its just a thought that came to me as a I was going to bed last night.

I know the bass clef is played with the left hand & the treble played with the right. But when you are playing both at the same time, are the chords different? For example, playing A in the bass at the same time as playing C in the right. If this is true, why? I believe when playing pop music the bass note matches the notes on the guitar, piano, etc..
I hope this makes sense.

When youre playing a keyboard that is accompayning the piano with an orchestra- how much can you focus- & still play the piano but take your eyes off the music & look out into the crowd, or look around etc?

I have an audition coming up on Friday but I can’t get my pieces right yet.

and end up playing the song without having to read the notes. I do that & I don’t know if I should try & read the notes all the time or if its okay to memorize because sometimes i’ll be staring at the notes but i won’t be reading them i’ll just be playing from memory.

I am trying to learn how to play the piano, but the problem I am having is that my left hand wants to do what my right hand does. Its hard for me to play chord progressions with my left hand because it wants to play the melody my right hand is playing. How do I overcome this???

I’m currently piano hunting & want to buy a second hand upright piano. Despite the obvious questions- when was the last time it was tuned & is there any hidden damage; are there any relevant & potentially vital questions which i could ask?
Also, do you think that it would be ok to base the piano in a conservatory? The temperature varies a little in there from the main house (around 2-3 degrees hotter or colder in summer/winter) Could this have a profound impact on the working/ tuning aspects of the piano?

My right arm has been tensing up when I play my scales & exercises. I know that I am playing a slow speed & my position is relaxed. I haven’t played my scales in a while though. Is the reason why my arm hurts so much (the muscle part) is because I haven’t been practicing recently?

Playing in a non legato, non cantabile fashion.

yaktur…you need absolute pitch (commonly known as ‘perfect pitch’) to be able to distinguish one note from another (knowing which sound is which note) when you’re only listening & not looking at the score. few people have this talent. you’re either born with it or you aren’t. you can’t learn absolute pitch, you can only strengthen your relative pitch to help you deduce which note it is from another reference note which is given to you.
to the questioner: i assume you’re a beginning pianist? because trained pianists will be able to tell which note the piece starts on just by looking at the score. unless you’re talking about trying to listen for which note the piece starts on without looking at the score. a good reference point when looking at your score is middle C, which most of the other answerers have already described.
