Piano Answers

The show “Trading Spouses” gives each family $50,000 but the mom from the other family decides how it is spent. I was just wondering if there is a legally binding contract that prevents the families from spending the money that is not the way the other mom meant for it to be spent. I just watched an episode where the other mom gave $2,000 for a piano & the rest of the $48,000 to the little girl of the other family to receive upon her 18th birthday. Are the parents obligated to spend the money that way (they were poor & could have used that money for repairs & bills)?

If you play tennis would it sum how hurt your fingers making it harder to play hard piano peices?

A bit of damage on the bottom part of the backboard. There was some vibration sound that did not sound normal, while looking I saw that someone had used some silicone & three screws were all the way into the backboard on a curved (sound plate ?) piece of wood that the strings run across. My question is,Can I find this piece or part & can it be repaired & is it costly?

Can someone please tell me what this is. Basically what is it called when in a music piano piece, a finishing chord is played with the notes separately. So you’re sort of playing it in a flowing way rather than just one block chord!?!

If someone says that a piano has trouble keeping a tune, does that mean that there is something wrong with the soundboard? If so, can it be repaired? It is a Julius Kreutzbach.

My parents own an upright piano & I thought a nice gift for them would be to get the piano tuned. The thing is- the piano hasn’t been tuned since I took piano lessons – so we’re talking since maybe 1985 or 1986. Can a piano that hasn’t been tuned in over 20 years be tuned – or does there come a point where it’s beyond repair?
Also – how much would a piano tuning cost these days?

I am just trying to do some research on Bach Well-tempered Clavier. I am just wondering about tempered tuning & how they used to tune pianos when they first came out (IE harpsichord, Clavier). Basically the history of piano tuning. Thanks

The thing is, that I tried to be good as hard as I could, but it did not bring the results that were expected. Now there is a problem: I am loosing my hearing. If it goes further with the same tempo, I will be deaf in about 3 or 4 years. What will you do in this situation?
