Piano Answers

The pain is kind of all over. It’s in my thumb & part of my palm, in my fingers a little bit, in my wrist a lot, & even in my forearm. When I take notes in school, I have to drop my pencil every couple minutes & stretch out my wrist & hand because it hurts. And now I’m finding that when I try to support myself in pushup position, I get a weird pain right where my right hand meets my wrist.
I’ve never had this problem before; it’s just been developing over the last few months. I write a lot during the day & also play piano, so I know I probably use that hand a lot, & maybe that’s the problem & it’s just tired. But I just want to know if I should be worried about it or talk to my doctor. Can you help me? Thank you so much in advance.

well, i want to start playing the piano, i already know every scale (at least all normal scales & flat/sharp scales)
i can’t really get the grasp of making a song or anything like that.
should i listen to other songs with piano & try ot make something similar?
should i take lessons for the summer?
any suggestions?

The song is on season 1 episode 14 & everyone is saying it is baba o’reilly by the who but it can’t be because on house he plays it differently. you can see & hear a send piano tone played by his left hand that isn’t in the song anywhere else.

Since the notes on the piano only repeat themselves how do you know which notes the sheet music wants you to play on?

On the Episode Wasted Talent, he comes home drunk & plays the piano for Lois untill he sobbers up & he cant play the song anymore, What was the name of that song he plays?

Ok I was watching Vh1 or MTV today & saw a video of a guy playing piano in a room with a bunch of toys that were alive..I think it’s a new song? or Artist? It was very recent I loved the song & I’m trying to find out what it was..does anyone know?

I know this must be usual for piano beginner’s but, my hands grow increasingly tired if i play notes fast (like going up & down scales a lot) specially my left hand, are there any exercises focused on “strengthening” (or whatever may it be) hands or should I just focus on normal practices until I get used to it?

In the movie “The Ringer” Glen starts playing the piano & he starts singing “Piano Man”. I can’t find the video of it though & i would definitely appreciate if someone can help me

I have close to no upper body strength & yet I somehow have a lot of arm muscle. The only thing I can think of that would of given me them is playing piano a lot. My arms sometimes ache when I do. Could it have given me muscles? =P

My daughter 10 years old was taking piano lessons for the past 3 years up until last summer.She has lost interest since & has not touched our piano since.How can I get her interested again without being pushy?

I’ve been playing the guitar for about a little over a year now. And It’s pretty hard. I even had a teacher for it.
So I decided to ditch it. But now the piano seems pretty cool. Is it easier than the guitar or harder?

I was always in love with Music. In first grade I started playing the violin but then i quit the first year!!. I dont sing but I always wanted to try the Piano.. My mom said since a little kid she always wanted to play it.. I really want to try it since my mom is getting one for me but it seems really hard & iam scared if i cant do it.. Is there any tips or somethin like tht about piano or what make it easier to play it?

This is my 10th & final piano recital, & I still don’t know how to avoid being nervous. My heart beats really fast, my hands shake, & then I miss a lot of notes.

My friend & I want to sing a song for Coffee House, a cabaret/talent show event. I am not the best of singers, but I do love to sing duets with my friend, who is an excellent soprano singer. I have exceptional piano skills, & just about any song can be in our repertoire. Other students have done many musical selections like Wicked & Phantom of the Opera, so we want to stay away from those. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any & ALL will be highly & greatly appreciated.

I am about to start playing the piano & I have no experience singing whatsoever. Is it possible that by playing the piano you can (with practice) be able to sing a lot better too?
