Elton attended the Royal Academy Of Music, but dropped out just before his finals. But otherwise Elton was self-taught at the piano.

How much do you need to know. Just basic skills, or should you be able to play amazing pieces of music?

Since the notes on the piano only repeat themselves how do you know which notes the sheet music wants you to play on?

Well theres this person who shows off about her piano skills. I play piano too & i play 1000 miles by vanessa carlton. I stupidly traught her & now she plays it in front of her friends & they go oh ur so good. IM JELOUS! it was me me eme ememememememe any way so. I am arranging Mozart’s 1st Symphony for the piano but I do not as of yet have the technical skill in order to play it completely on the first few attempts. Is there anyone I can find in Des Moines who has the ability to do this? If so, what is the address or phone number of this person so I can contact him/her?

Sorry I don’t have much more detail, but it is a song with mainly a piano playing through out the whole song & it has no lyrics besides a man some what humming. It’s not like normal humming but he is making noise with his voice.

i know all the notes, the flats, sharps. i can read music fine FOR A GUITAR. but it takes me a minute to figure out what note it is when i’m trying to play piano.
if i hear notes or songs, i can start playin it, & know if the next note is higher or lower & keep on playing.
but i can’t read piano music. am i suppose to play the bass clef notes along with the treble’s?
i just use any finger i want. i can’t do chords?
how do i use my knowledge of what i know to help me out?

I already play the piano to a pretty high level, but was really interested in learning more about the field of piano tuning etc as hopefully a holiday job…
I would assume that it is impossible to learn from another piano tuner since they would hardly want to create more competition, so an online course seemed like the most likely alternative – or maybe there is a book or better way to go about this?

Throughout the whole movie the main characters names are never said, even in the credits they are something like him & her or guy & girl. They are both musicians, & very good ones at that. The whole movie they write & perform songs together, & obviously fall in love. But they don’t go any further with their relationship because she’s already married & has a daughter. More details about the movie: they meet when the girl needs to get her vacuum repaired (he runs a vacuum repair shop); he buys her a piano at the end of the movie so she can play at her house; they end up apart in the end.

i’ve just started playing again after about 7 years. I believe we bought my Yamaha upright piano about.. 10years ago. I’ve noticed that starting from the keys around the middle C to the left side of the piano, the sound doesnt linger when you take your hands off the keys. probably needs to be tuned?
how often are you supposed to tune your piano? & how much is the price range in the denver area?

I know music; I play three musical instruments, but not guitar. I want to tune my mum’s old guitar to my piano, but I don’t know what the guitar strings are meant to be tuned to (like, what are the string’s open notes)?

i’ve bein looking around for prices & estimates on how much it will cost to have a piano tuned. & i was jsut wondering whats the avrage cost for it, because i dont want to overcharged or ripped off!
