What Piano Music Should I Invest In?

I’m going to college, & I need to know what piano music I can get while I can still get it cheap from the local music store. I have WTC Book I, Complete Beethoven Sonatas, Complete Chopin Etudes & Scherzi, Liszt Concert Etudes, Schumann’s Fantasiestueck, & all the Rachmaninoff Preludes, along with other random stuff. What would be a good investment before college?

I absolutely love the piano works of Erik Satie! Just beautiful music, amazing to play & just so colourful!
Get yourself a collection book of the music; I have his first three gymnopodies & gnosiennes in one book & it didn’t cost much from the local music shop. Best purchase for my piano music collcetion I got :)
    Hope you enjoy

Do NOT buy any more music before you get to college! Your teacher there will not only tell you WHAT to get, but may have VERY strong opinions about what edition, too. *Getting it cheap from the local music store* is hardly the criteria you need. At least as a pianist, you are not buying an *instrument* – only to get to d college, & be told by the teacher there, that you need to CHANGE. You can find music online at competitive prices – & even at places like half.com – so WAIT.
