    yellowjackets- imperial strut is one of my fav songs- it has some good guitar-n piano…although u were looking for avante garde jazz this is more fusion but its great

    Definitely Miles Davis “On the Corner” sessions. Herbie Hancock “Headhunters” (my favorite is Watermelon Man).

    Try some fusion stuff like Freddie Hubbard, Medeski, Martin & Wood, or The Bad Plus. A lot of bands like them use organ/rhodes, but put on a Pandora station & you might find some cool stuff. I know I did.
