How Much To Have Piano Tuned – London Area?

Anyone have a rough idea how much it costs for a pretty run down piano to be tuned? North London area. Any help appreciated.

I’ll do it for a fiver.
Bear in mind that I’m almost completely tone-deaf & you may end up with an instrument that sounds like someone beating a seal to death with a flatulent goose…

Search the web for the Piano Tuners Association (or look in Yellow pages for someone with MIMIT or MPTA ) – the PTA list all the qualified tuners & recommended tuning fees according to area. A decent tuner will give you a base price & tell you if there’s any more to be added BEFORE getting to work. I’m a bit out of touch with prices but I’m guessing £40-50.
