Berklee And My Chances?

I am a Junior in High School. I have made almost every honor band in Colorado (including All-State Jazz). I take theory & composition lessons (for 3 months so far), i have been playing percussion for seven years (vibraphone would be my primary instrument if i went to Berklee), I study with the percussion professor at Colorado State University & I am also taking piano lessons. I am just curious if someone out there thinks I have what it takes to get in (and yes I have studied alot about Berklee & know about tuition etc.). I also want to study film scoring there. So once again if you could just tell me if you think I am headed in the right direction?

Sound to me like you have a strong chance, I personally never went to Berkley(too much for tuition) , but was accepted, & you have more on your “resume” than I had.
Though I did take classical guitar lessons & later blues guitar lessons from Berkley teachers, so they may have put in a good work for me, i really do not know…

Oh man…you sound a lot like me when I was auditioning for Berklee (well, to compare your percussion experience to my vocal experience)! You sound really prepared, & I definitely think that you have an awesome shot at getting in! Berklee has a fantastic percussion program, a couple great orchestras & a lot of opportunities to play in various ensembles, so I think you’d really enjoy it. Plus, their film scoring department is excellent…I actually have a couple friends in the program.
I say good luck with your audition, & hopefully I’ll see you around campus in a couple years!
