I recently trying to get back to playing the piano. I want to learn more music. especially popular songs even the recent hits. even indian music songs. I need to know a good place online that is free or where can i go buy a book on them.

Good Luck with getting it free. I have found great sheet music at yard sales & second hand stores. Still not free but I have a very good collection of piano music & some yard sales they are giving it away.

You won’t find any legal sites that provide popular music for free. But there are websites that have sheet music for songs that are well-known such as classical, traditional, hymns or folk songs for all levels. There really aren’t any legal sources for free sheet music copies of copyrighted music–popular (Top 40) songs in particular. However, many public libraries stock sheet music books. So that could be an option for you.
Otherwise, you might have some success finding used sheet music via Ebay, Craig’s List, & Amazon for reasonable prices.
Additionally, if you’re willing to go the legal/retail route, you might want to check out http://www.musicnotes.com. You can get one-page previews of sheet music & some selections are even available in the key of your choice.
