Piano Answers

I feel guilty for saying this behind her back because her & i do have a close relationship with her. But she is the type of person where she can be sweet as a piece of cheese cake but when her mom tells her no about things she gets really mad. She has been given a lot of things like a free car granted she did pay for the repairs. her first job was working for my uncle’s family( a secretary) a few days a week & cleaning her grandma’s house & barn. My Auntie does so much for her & she can be controlling but she lets my cousin do a lot of things. my aunt payed for her Piano lessons her horse back riding lesson & gymnastics lessons. i’m sure my cousin thanked her for it but i don’t think it could be a genuine as it could be. My cousin treats her horribly sometimes & she talks back to her & calls her rude things. I know my aunt may not be easy to deal with(my mom is her twin) but she is the parent & obviously she says no for a specificc reason.
My aunt is really generous person(she payed for a college class for me) & she is like that with her kids. They always go on vacations. My uncle is the president of a construction company. They have two boats tons of ski gear for water knee boards things like that.
last week they went away on vacation & she wanted to bring her boyfriend with her. When she asked her mom last minute my aunt said no & she freaked out. My aunt was like i have to say no because you knew if he wanted to come you should have told me two months ago. My cousin went upstairs & went on the computer even though my aunt said that she needed to pay some bills so it would be a few more minutes. She said no again & to get off & my cousin was like “You can’t talk to me like that”!
My cousin was told to go to her room & she did but as she was packing she threatned to leave the house while everyone is sleeping. She gets to do so much & she never really had to work hard at finding a job or anything & she can act like a brat. But why is she doing this i mean she’s 17 so she should be more mature by now. Im not jealous or anything im just mad that she thinks she can treat her family this way. my uncle won’t tell her no & he’ll just be like oh we’ll go & talk about it later. he won’t defend my aunt when my cousin calls her bad names either.

A teacher of mine recently purchased a newer digital piano, & is willing to sell me his old Clavinova CLP-311, & I was wondering how much one would expect a used one for, if anyone could provide me some info. He’s asking around $800, & in fairness, it was recently fully repaired & made essentially brand new. But still, i know that it’s an old model so I’d like some feedback. Anything to help would be great!

Right, I’ve been told I can have a free piano, they’re both second hand. I just gotta pick it up & make any repairs myself.
The first is up two flights of stairs, is somewhat beaten up, but still pretty intact but has no wheels on the bottom. I think two of the keys don’t work & it needs tuning.
The second looks much nicer, & would be far easier to move (on the ground floor & has wheels) but about 15 of the keys don’t work. Checked inside, some of the hammers have come off
Which one do you think I should go for? Bear in mind cost of repairing them would be pretty important.

I have already decided college that was easy. But i don’t know what i want to do (im finishing up my junior year soon.) Here is some info about me that might help.
I am a decent mechanic & i was thinking about doing that but I’m not sure i want to actually do that for a living.
I’m also slightly autistic with ADD & ADHD (i still don’t believe those last to) but that leads to me having very poor social skills (i can get along with some people but not if they are obnoxious & instigate me to talk).
I get good grades (high 80’s into the high 90’s)
I can play guitar (3 years), piano (2 years), violin (1 1/2 years) & write decent (or at least i have been told) short stories
I can’t stand being cooped up at a desk for an entire day
I’m pretty good with my hands & can repair stuff if i know what im doing
I do like being outside
I don’t want to have to travel
I was thinking of being a cop but i don’t want everyone to thing i am following my brother.
If there is anything else i can answer just ask

The pain is kind of all over. It’s in my thumb & part of my palm, in my fingers a little bit, in my wrist a lot, & even in my forearm. When I take notes in school, I have to drop my pencil every couple minutes & stretch out my wrist & hand because it hurts. And now I’m finding that when I try to support myself in pushup position, I get a weird pain right where my right hand meets my wrist.
I’ve never had this problem before; it’s just been developing over the last few months. I write a lot during the day & also play piano, so I know I probably use that hand a lot, & maybe that’s the problem & it’s just tired. But I just want to know if I should be worried about it or talk to my doctor. Can you help me? Thank you so much in advance.

well, i want to start playing the piano, i already know every scale (at least all normal scales & flat/sharp scales)
i can’t really get the grasp of making a song or anything like that.
should i listen to other songs with piano & try ot make something similar?
should i take lessons for the summer?
any suggestions?

I am auditioning for my high schoolchoir & i need to know how to sight sing & i am having so much trouble with it! i am using a piano to help me & im ok but when i try to sight sing at school in my choir & cannottt do it! any help???

Is it possible to tune a guitar without the use of some type of reference note (Without having absolute pitch). I want to be able to tune my guitar without having to have any string in tune, without using a piano, tuner, tuning fork, or pitch pipe, or anything like that. Is this possible, & if so how do I do it? Thanks.

I took classical piano lessons as a kid from age 5 to 14. Once I got into high school I convinced my mother I had too many other things going on, & that I absolutely hated playing the piano. So I quit, & never looked back.
Until now. I’m 22, & dying to get back into the piano. I don’t think I’ve lost all of the skills I had, but once I put my hands back on the keys it feels very foreign.
Where do I start?

The song is on season 1 episode 14 & everyone is saying it is baba o’reilly by the who but it can’t be because on house he plays it differently. you can see & hear a send piano tone played by his left hand that isn’t in the song anywhere else.

When I get to the highest level of piano, how many notes will I be playing at a time?

What are the characteristics of a scary song? I’ve composed a couple of happy & on going songs, but now I want a scary song. I cant find any good scary songs that I could listen to & get an idea. Could someone give me a name of a good scary song on piano?

I’ve been listening to Yann Tiersen’s piano playing & found some of his piano pieces very good, 8mm & Naval from the Tarbarly album are examples. I’d like to listen to more of the same, any suggestions?
